THOUGHTS
We understand PROFIT don’t we? The biblical ideas are INHERITANCE
and HEAVEN!
Eccl 3:9 What profit is there to the worker from
that in which he toils?
Matt 16:26 "For what will it profit a man if he gains
the whole world
and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Heb 11:24-26 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused
to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather
to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing
pleasures of sin, 26 considering the reproach of Christ greater
riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.
Most simply... “For to me, to live is Christ and to
die is gain.” Php 1:21
Some other passages for our thinking:
Hag 1:5-6 Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider
your ways! 6 "You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat,
but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to
become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who
earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes."
Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as
they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not
united by faith in those who heard.
Heb 12:10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best
to them, but He disciplines us for our good [our profit], so that we may
share His holiness.
Jas 2:14 What use is it [what profit], my brethren, if
someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?
1Cor 13:3 And if I give all my possessions to feed [the poor,]
and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me
nothing.
Php 3:7-9 But whatever things were gain to me, those things
I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 More than that, I
count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and
count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be
found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but
that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God
on the basis of faith,
1John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have
overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
CHRIST IN ME IS PROFIT! Anything else is a great negative exchange
of our soul!
We must OVERCOME CHURCH!
My Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the victory that is in Christ Jesus. Help s to carry
on with diligence the work you have started in us. Make our faith active and
our love powerful in this world. Teach us to speak your name boldly in
every place. Give us the strength live Christ, to overcome! We love you
our God, for you loved us have taught us love.
In
Jesus name Amen
